Auld Lammas Fair - 26th August 2024
Thousands of people took to the streets of Ballycastle to enjoy the traditions of the Auld Lammas Fair.
The annual fair, which dates back to the 17th century is believed to be the oldest fair on the island of Ireland.
Two days of trading, bartering, busking, amusements and street entertainment competitions add to the atmosphere in the beautiful seaside resort of Ballycastle.
2024 AULD LAMMAS FAIR

Coach travel has been organised from various locations direct to Auld Lammas Fair with comfort stops en route.
All travel is priced as same day return. All coaches will return at 5.00pm from the Coach Park.
Coaches depart Route 1 from:
- 8.30AM – WARRENPOINT – Bus Stop on the Square opposite The Ship Inn.

9AM – NEWRY – Bus Stop @ Stone bridge, Sugar island.

9.20AM – BANBRIDGE – Bus Stop Opposite Game of thrones in the Boulevard.

9.40AM – LISBURN – Sprucefield Bus Stop @ Roundabout at M&S.

10AM – BELFAST – Bus Stop @ Jurys Hotel Great Victoria Street

10.30AM – ANTRIM – Dunsilly Roundabout, Park and Ride Car Park.

Price is for Coach travel only. Call for more details. Coaches may have toilet facilities, however we cannot guarantee this. Comfort breaks are provided enroute. Tickets must be purchased online or over the phone, if you turn up without a ticket you may be refused entry. All day trips by coach are subject to availability and minimum numbers. If your trip does not operate because of lack of numbers, you will receive a full refund or the offer of being transferred to another day trip on the same or another date. Full payment is required at time of booking. No refund is due if you cancel the booking.
Only one item of hand luggage is permitted on day trips by coach (prams are permitted). Children under 16 must be accompanied by an responsible adult (18 years +). Young adults (16–17 years) may travel unaccompanied but must have a letter of authority from a parent or guardian.
